Pippa's Journey with a Brain Tumour

A Final Parisian Night to Remember

We had deliberately and purposefully not seen Paris at night time. We discussed that we wanted to save it until our very last night and make it out Grand Finale. I honestly do not think we could have ended our stay in Paris any better.

We started by having dinner up the Eiffel Tower. It was a little bit fancy and a little bit special………

Then we had arranged for Sara and a friend to pick us up on their pedal taxis.   We started our private “Paris by Night Tour” with seeing the Eiffel Tower light up the sky. It was simply breathtaking! We continued up to the Arch de Triomphe, down the Champs Elysees, along the river to the Lurve and Notre Dame and home to our apartment. An hour and a half of riding through a different Paris than what we had come to know; experiencing a freedom and tranquility that you don’t get during the day. By doing it on our own with our lovely Sara to escort us made it a night to remember forever.

The thought has crossed my mind since, why I didn’t give Patrick a job for two weeks with Sara and Gonzalo……..????? At one point on Alessandro bridge when he took off on Sara’s bike we all wondered if he was actually going to come back!

It was truly the most amazing and special way to end our visit to the city that has made Pippa’s dreams come true. Her eyes have sparkled every day, just like the lights on the Eiffel tower, and her smile has not once left her face.

I truly hope the magic of Disney, Paris and in particular the Eiffel Tower have rubbed off forever on Pippa and our family. Pippa is the sparkle that matches the Eiffel Tower.

Farewell Paris, it’s been incredible.
